Ruby Ann Darnell Williams

Ruby Ann Darnell Williams, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late L. E. Darnell and Stella Hayes Darnell, was born November 26, 1924, in Russell County, Kentucky and later moved to Taylor County at age two. She died at 6:00 A.M., Monday, May 15, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 92 She professed faith in Christ at age eleven and was a member the longest of anyone at Campbellsville Baptist Church. She had a heart for serving her church and her family. She attended Campbellsville College and Bowling Green Business College and taught in one room schools and at Taylor County High School. She also assisted her husband in his law practice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Williams, Jr. after forty-five years of marriage. Ruby is survived by one son and two daughters: Tom Williams and wife, Gale of Houston, Texas, Janie Forman and husband, Gary of Frankfort, and Sue Shaw and husband, David of Lexington; five grandchildren: Adam Williams, Melissa Forman Ballard, Stan Forman, Patrick Shaw and Meredith Shaw Forssman; five great-grandchildren: Lana Forman, Mason Forman, Eli Ballard, Ruby Ballard and Olive Williams; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
