D. W. Crawley, Jr.

D. W. Crawley, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Dennis Wilmore Crawley, Sr. and Isla Mae Hunt Crawley, was born August 9, 1929, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:36 A.M., Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 87 He professed faith in Christ and was a life-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for sixty years. Dennis retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and was a former co-owner of Superior Radio in Lebanon, Kentucky. He was known as being a very caring, loving and generous person with his time and he ministered to numerous people in his church and community. He and Sarah Laverne opened their home and were affectionately known as “Mom and Pop”. He united in marriage to Sarah Laverne Gupton April 10, 1950. Besides his wife, Sarah Laverne Gupton Crawley of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons: Doug Crawley and wife, Debra, of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Tim Crawley and wife, Joyce, of Prospect; one son-in-law, Terry Joe Stone and wife, Jeri, of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Kim Arnold and husband, Steve, of Campbellsville; Kelly Joe Stone and wife, Dr. Monica Stone, of Greensburg; Daniel Crawley and wife, Amanda, of Benton; Dyanna Jenkins and husband, Cody, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Danae Crawley of Charlotte, North Carolina; Brooke Cotton and husband, Chris, of Louisville; Austin Crawley and fiancée, Elena Bertuccio, Cody Crawley and Tyler Crawley of Prospect; nine great-grandchildren: Chelsey Stone, Chandler Jenkins, Claire Jenkins, Carter Jenkins, Thomas Stone, Jake Stone, Lila Stone, Jillian Crawley and Joycelyn Crawley; two brothers: J. B. Crawley and Sam Crawley and wife, Kaye, of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, Herbert England of Campbellsville; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
