Danny Boyd Harrison, Sr. died peacefully in his home on July 19, 2017 in Shelbyville, Kentucky due to complications related to pancreatic cancer. He was 67. Mr. Harrison was born on November 12, 1949 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Merlin and Lola Harrison who preceded him in death. Danny was united in marriage on August 7, 1970 to Joyce Elaine Riggs. He professed faith in Christ and was member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church, he was ordained as a deacon at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. Danny was a twenty-five year Blue Lodge Freemason and a member of Elkhorn Lodge #568. Until retiring in January 2017 he was employed at JCIM in Louisville, Kentucky and previously at ThyssenKrupp Budd in Shelbyville, Batesville Casket Company and Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Joyce Elaine Harrison; son and daughter-in-law, Danny Harrison, Jr. and wife, Ammy of Simpsonville; granddaughter, Meredith Harrison; two sisters: Carolyn Walters and Judy Harrison of Campbellsville; one niece, Robin Simms and husband, David of Campbellsville; several cousins including a special cousin, Tammie Baumgardener of Campbellsville and many other friends and relatives. ____________ VISITATION: 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
