Geneva C. "Jean" Newton

Geneva C. “Jean” Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Paul Coffey and Gertrude Wright Coffey, was born December 19, 1928 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 11:13 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Campbellsville.   Age: 89 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church. Jean was a retired bookkeeper for Ashland Petroleum in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Woody Newton February 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death March 14, 2009. She is survived by her relatives:  Barbara Warren Dobson and husband, Lewis of Campbellsville, JoAnn McCrary and husband, John of Bullitt County, Damon Newton and Jim Newton and wife, Sonnie of Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian K.
