Norman Johnson

August 25, 1928 — July 20, 2018

Norman Johnson of Campbellsville, son of the late J. Martin Johnson and Pauline Peterson Johnson, was born August 25, 1928 in Adair County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:05 A.M., Friday, July 20, 2018 in Louisville.         Age: 89He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of Korea War having served his country honorably in the United States Army. Norman was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Norman was co-owner of Johnson Motor Company for twenty years. He loved to tinker on things and attend church services. Those who visited Norman would often find him listening to books on tape. It has been said he would listen to five or seven books a week.He united in marriage to Margaret Hines Howard on July 30, 1970 and she preceded him in death May 7, 2003.    He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Allen “A.J.” Johnson and wife, Angie of Campbellsville; one step-son and one step-daughter:  Lowell Thomas Howard and wife, Linda of Kissimmee, Florida and Carmelita Mascarenas and husband, John of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Alex Johnson and wife, Jennifer of Campbellsville, and Andrea Hutson and husband, Chris of Yellow Springs, Ohio; two great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Johnson and Luke Johnson all of Campbellsville; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law:  David and Norma Jean Johnson of Campbellsville; one niece and  four nephews: Cindy Johnson, Greg Johnson, Lynn Johnson, Mark Johnson and Peter Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by a brother, Doug Johnson and a step-son, Richard “Ricky” Howard September 25, 1995.VISITATION: 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral HomeFUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 23, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by General Noah E.
