Betty Jewell Gaddie Hinton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Waller Aylett “Bud” Gaddie and Bettie Smith Gaddie, was born March 7, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:43 A.M., Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Campbellsville. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Betty was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after forty-two years of service.
She united in marriage to Bobby Hinton August 20, 1960 and he preceded her in death November 14, 2009.
Betty loved having bright flowers on her patio. She was concerned about others and always kept a prayer list.
She is survived by one son, James Robert Hinton and wife, Sandra of Campbellsville; one step-daughter, Galene Eastridge and husband, Don Childers of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Megan Fields and husband, James, Shay Graybeal and husband, Wes, Jason McGinnis and wife, Ashley, Donnie Brockman, Timmy Curry and Troy Curry of Campbellsville, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Larry of Versailles, Brian Childers and wife, Rachel and Sean Childers and wife, Bobbie of Idaho; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ina Edwards and husband, Joey of Horse Cave; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Deborah Harris and one brother and one sister: Bobby Gaddie and Peggy Litton.
