Buster Gaines Hall, 89, retired farmer of Taylor County, passed from this life on July 27, 2026.
He was born on August 8, 1936, son of the late Albert and Bessie (Hash) Hall.
He was a member and former deacon of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Buster was united in marriage to the late Peggy (Roberts) Hall in April 1957, this marriage lasting sixty years. She was the love of his life and he has missed her very much.
He, along with brother Carl, owned and ran a successful farming operation of Hall Brothers and Son in Taylor County.
Buster, a true leader, served on numerous boards throughout the community. The Metro Police Board, Taylor County Extension Board, along with many other leadership roles. One that was particularly close to his heart was his eleven year service on the Taylor County Hospital Board. He was a member of the very first hospital board, who planned, organized and saw this project from ground breaking day, to the opening door celebration.
Other than his parents and his beloved wife, those preceding him were his brothers: Carl, Earl and Gene.
Buster’s survivors are his children: Cyndi Hall of Lexington and Tommy (Ami) Hall of Campbellsville; grandchildren: Taylor (Sarah) Hall of Campbellsville and Hannah Hall (Brock) Peterson of Stamping Ground; step-grandchild, Jason (Sherilyn) Slagle of Somerset; step-great-grandchildren: Kace Peterson and Clay Slagle.
