Catherine Kearney

Catherine Kearney of Campbellsville, daughter of the late H. B. Philpott and Verna Isaacs Philpott, was born June 27, 1929 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:55 P.M., Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in Campbellsville. Age: 94 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She united in marriage to James Lee Kearney September 10, 1950 and he preceded her in death May 22, 2005. Catherine was a very intelligent person who applied her unique talents to all aspects of life, which included sewing, culinary endeavors, crafting, financial management and in service to her church. She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Patty Harrison of Bowling Green, Jerry Kearney and wife, Phyllis and Pam Weatherford and husband, David of Campbellsville, and Harold Kearney of Simpsonville; seven grandchildren: Adam Kearney and wife, Kelli of Georgetown, Natalie Cline and husband, Robbie of Gallatin, TN, Leslie Kearney and significant other, Chris Harrison, Karen Hardin and husband, Tye, Janet Barnes and husband, Dustin, all of Campbellsville, Sebastian Kearney and Cedric Kearney both of Simpsonville; ten great-grandchildren: Owen Lamer, Jacob Kearney, Lane Hardin, Harrison Cline, Kendall Kearney, Collin Cline, Jackson Barnes, Lela Kate Hardin, Dalton Barnes, and Peyton Harrison; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
