George Henry Dearen

George Henry Dearen, 89, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, passed away on July 8, 2026.

Born on June 8, 1937, George was the son of the late George Henry Dearen, Sr. and Jennie Douglas Dearen.

George dedicated his life to farming, a profession he took great pride in. He raised tobacco, corn and soybeans and operated a successful dairy farm for many years. His strong work ethic, commitment to the land, and love for agriculture were evident throughout his life. He found purpose in caring for his farm and took great satisfaction in providing for his family through honest, hard work.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Dearen, who passed away on August 4, 2007; his son, Daryl Douglas Dearen, who passed away on January 15, 2018 and his parents, George Henry Dearen, Sr. and Jennie Douglas Dearen.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Ann Dearen, and by his cherished companion, Tibby Altman of Greensburg, Kentucky, whose friendship, love and companionship brought great joy to his life. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will cherish his memory.

George will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of farming, and the values of perseverance, integrity and hard work that guided his life. His memory will live on in the fields he tended, the family he loved, and the lives he touched throughout the years. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
