George Perkins, Jr.

George Perkins, Jr. of the Perkins Farm in Campbellsville, son of Evelyn Joyce DeSpain Perkins and the late George Perkins, Sr., was born September 8, 1965 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:47 A.M., Monday, April 20, 2026 in Owensboro. Age: 60

He was a semi-retired brick mason.

George united in marriage to Vistia Spurling and they had been married twenty-seven years.

He enjoyed camping, riding side by sides and spending time with his family and friends. He dearly loved his dog, Oreo.

Besides his wife, Vistia Perkins of Campbellsville, George is survived by one son and one daughter: George Eric Perkins of Campbellsville and Kayla Bishop and the late Tim Bishop of Columbia; one step-son, Nicholas Tyler Goodin; two grandchildren: Ayslee Goodin and Addie Goodin; his mother, Evelyn Perkins of Campbellsville; two brothers: Andy Perkins and wife, Valerie and Todd Perkins and wife, Weldonna of Campbellsville;

several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

There will be no formal funeral service.

Burial will be at sunset, Thursday, April 23, 2026 in Pleasant Ridge Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Larue County, Kentuck
