Gerald Harmon

Gerald Harmon of Campbellsville, son of the late William Paul Harmon and Lela Mardis Harmon, was born February 26, 1948 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:10 A.M., Wednesday, September 16, 2026 in Louisville. Age: 78

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

Gerald was a retired employee of Curtis Maruyasu in Lebanon.

He united in marriage to Mary Duke April 28, 1998.

Gerald was an avid UK fan, an enthusiastic TV coach and his favorite saying was, “you gotta make your free throws!”

He loved food and enjoyed listening to music, especially the Big Dawg. Gerald’s family said he was a wise man, who always gave good advice.

Besides his wife, Mary Harmon of Campbellsville, he is survived by four sons: Joseph Edward “Jody” Harmon and wife, Vickie, Keith Swift and Justin Martin and fiancée, Morgan Wallace of Campbellsville and Adam Swift and wife, Brittany of Springfield; a special daughter, Kathleen Martin of Campbellsville; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Harmon; fourteen grandchildren: Andreanna Frazier of Owensboro, Will Harmon, Lucas Martin and Sawyer Harmon of Campbellsville, Ashtyn Harmon and significant other, Victor Helm, of Hodgenville, Elizabeth Swift, Lilly Keeling and husband, D. J., Adam Swift, Jr. and Jacob Martin of Springfield, Madison Harmon and significant other, Grant Ray of Benton, Emily Swift and Keith Swift, Jr., Cheyenne Roberts of Indiana and Michael Swift of Florida; one great-grandchild, Corinne Keeling and many, many others; one brother, Randall Harmon of Campbellsville; special friend, Alfred Surico; his fur baby, Sadie; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Gerald was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Harmon August 22, 2022 and a granddaughter, Kayla Swift in 2018.
