Howard Dobson Sr.

Howard Dobson Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Vernie Dobson and Lillie Mae Webb Dobson , was born July 17, 1933 in Larue County, Kentucky. He died at 4:06 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2026 in Campbellsville. Age: 93

Howard owned several small businesses in Campbellsville. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter and later, went to full-time for the city of Campbellsville. Howard started Dobson’s Camper in 1968 and remained owner until 1995 when his son, Howard Dobson Jr., took over the business. Howard Sr. remained a fixture of the business until his health would no longer allow it.

He united in marriage to Corine Coomer December 25, 1953 and she survives.

Besides his wife, Corine Dobson of Campbellsville, Howard is survived by one son and three daughters: Howard Dobson Jr. and wife, Jenny, Brenda Goodin and husband, Gary, Deloris Sapp all of Campbellsville and Linda Adkins and husband, Richard of Greensburg; six grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson and husband, Alex, Jessica Lile and husband, Brent, Kara Yocum and Fiancé, Brandon Gowdy all of Campbellsville, Darrell Sapp of Naples, Florida, James Adkins and wife, Jennifer and Michael Adkins and wife, Whitney both of Greensburg; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Howard was also preceded in death by two brothers Raymond Dobson and Carl Dobson.
