James R. Tucker of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Lee Tucker and Sarah Miller Tucker, was born March 19, 1935 in Washington County, Kentucky. He died at 5:57 P.M., Friday, September 1, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Age: 88 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He served his country honorably and retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He also worked several years at the Taylor County Board of Education in the maintenance department after his years of service in the Air Force. James united in marriage to Margaret Fay Sallee November 24, 1956. Besides his wife, Margaret Fay Tucker of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons and one daughter: Mark Tucker and wife, Sandra of Campbellsville, Therese Ferrell and husband, Timothy of Fairborn, Ohio, Patrick Tucker of Richmond, and Titus Tucker and wife, Sherry of Louisville; four grandchildren: Matthew Mowery, Melissa Walder and husband, Christopher, Jon Tucker and Logan Tucker and wife, Mollie; four great-grandchildren: Christopher Walder, Brooklyn Walder, Braylee Walder, and Margaret “Margot” Tucker; two sisters: Margaret Mudd of Campbellsville, and Mary Jo Sutton of St. Charles, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
