Jeannie Seaborne of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Speed and Loula Bell Rush Speed, was born September 3, 1943 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. She died at 6:43 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2025 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church for twenty-five years.
She was a retired employee of the Taylor County School Board of Education. Jeannie had previously been employed at Taylor Regional Hospital, Best Western, Five Star, as a Zeja Consultant and in the antiques and collectibles business.
Jeannie united in marriage to Gary Seaborne June 26, 1991.
She had been a Taylor County Fair Board Member, a former Miss Taylor County Fair and a former Miss Kentucky.
Besides her husband, Gary Seaborne of Campbellsville, Jeannie is survived by three sons: George “Woody” Mitchell, William Burt “Billy” Mitchell and Joseph David Mitchell and wife, Kim of Campbellsville; two step-children: Donnie Seaborne and fiance’, Margie Holtzclaw of Campbellsville and Jennifer Callison and husband, Tim of Bowling Green; thirty-four grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Earnie Kelly and wife, Linda and Libby Breeding; one sister-in-law; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Jeannie was also preceded in death by a son, John Robert Mitchell March 9, 2021 and one brother and one sister: Bobbie Kelly and Patty Ruth McCarthy.
