Jewell Rattliff

Jewell Rattliff of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Clarence Merritt and Lottie Parrott Merritt, was born February 27, 1932, in Taylor County, Kentucky and graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1950. She died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Louisville surrounded by family at age 93.

She professed faith in Christ and was a long-time member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Jewell united in marriage to Herman W. Rattliff on March 18, 1951, who preceded her in death.

Jewell was primarily a homemaker but also worked part-time for Supertone Studios and created many transparent oil masterpieces before color photography became widely available. She was active in the lives of her children, chaperoning band trips, attending ball games and always being supportive.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian Rattliff and wife Beth of Louisville; one grandson, Cameron Rattliff and wife Natalie of Charlestown; two great-grandchildren, Colton Rattliff and Ella Rattliff; two sisters, Janet Vest and Helen Merritt of Cincinnati; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristi Rattliff Hickerson.

VISITATION: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Saturday, November 8, 2025.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Officiated by Great-Nephew, Marcus Rodgers. Burial will then follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
