Lois Hord Carter of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Walter Ray Hord and Elsie Gore Hord, was born July 12, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:59 A.M., Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 86 She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Lois enjoyed walking around her Green Acres neighborhood every day and volunteering at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation when she was able. She was a big University of Kentucky Wildcat Fan. She is survived by two daughters and one son: Debbie Carter Mathers, Patty Carter Howard and David Carter and wife, Rebecca of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Heather Barnes, Shawn Carter and Matthew Bright; four great-grandchildren: Tanner Barnes, Lauren Barnes, Colton Bright and Brayden Carter; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers: Joyce Tucker, Dorothy O’Banion, Audrey Maupin, Louise Oliver, Jean Wright, Richard Hord and Kenny Hord.
