Lucille Murrell Gentry of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Eugene Murrell and Sarah Ermine Eubank Murrell, was born May 17, 1930 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 12:15 A.M., Saturday, February 21, 2026 in Louisville. Age: 95

Lucille grew up and professed faith in Christ at Millers Chapel Methodist Church.

She united in marriage to Rev. Ervin Gentry August 22, 1951 and he preceded her in death December 1, 2016.

Lucille was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the ministry.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: David Gentry of Indiana, Stanley Gentry and wife, Dawn of Owensboro and Marsha Henderson and husband, Danny of Louisville; special daughter, Karen Stanton of Louisville; five grandchildren: Robert Gentry and wife, Nickie of Bowling Green, Marissa Gentry, Kelsey Abner and husband, Luke and Adrienne Gentry of Louisville and Sarah Gentry of Tennessee; two great-grandchildren: Connor Gentry and Cameron Gentry; special nieces and nephew: Sue Hayes and husband, Bruce of Lebanon, Celia Lyons of Campbellsville and James Davis of Columbia; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by two sisters: Sandra Kay Davis and Pauline Speed.
