Margie Louise Carter Brown of Campbellsville, was born December 30, 1939 in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to the late John Arthur Carter and Arlie Parsons Carter. She died at 1:48 P.M., Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Campbellsville. Age: 86

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder.

Margie was a retired employee of the Taylor County Board of Education.

She is survived by one son and one daughter: Fred Brown and Tammy Grider of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Krissy Gutierrez, Dee Brown, Donald Brown and Erica Roszkowski; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Margie was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Keith Brown in 1987 and a half-sister, Corine (Polly) Gabehart in 2016.

Margie loved Jesus, her family, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She was known by many as a wonderful cook and baker. She was always serving others at any opportunity. Margie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family would also like to express their gratitude to her caregivers for their exceptional care for Ms. Margie: Shirley Phillips, Laura Rybolt and Sandy Mangrum.
