Michael Gene Marcum of Campbellsville, son of the late William Marrell Marcum and Martha Elizabeth Burba Marcum, was born August 31, 1945 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 6:15 P.M., Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 78 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a retired rural route letter carrier. He was a loving husband and father and was always generous to the kids on his mail route or anyone in need. He was an avid outdoors man who loved to deer hunt and Redbone Coonhounds. He united in marriage to Annette Hoosier September 7, 1965. Besides his wife, Annette Marcum of Campbellsville, Michael is survived by one son and one daughter: Tim Marcum of Waddy and Sherri Holtzclaw and husband, Mark of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Kaitlyn Green and husband, Ricky of St. Matthews and Drew Benningfield and wife, Danielle of Campbellsville; one great-grandson, Fletcher Green and two expected great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister: Tommy Marcum and wife, Shirley of Greensburg, Hack Marcum and wife, Sylvia, Harold Marcum, Larry Marcum and wife, Darlene and Sheila Morgeson and husband, Lanny of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
