Perry Hogue

William Perry “Perry” Hogue, 85, of Campbellsville, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 10:30 P.M., in Campbellsville.

Born on March 8, 1940 in Campbellsville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Forrest J. Hogue and Anna Frances Hogue.

Perry was a man of faith and a former member of Woodlawn Christian Church. A 1957 graduate of Campbellsville High School, he continued his education at Campbellsville College, graduating with honors. He also studied at the University of Kentucky and remained a devoted Wildcats fan throughout his life.

After serving six and a half years in the United States Army Reserves in the 1960’s, with six months being active duty, Perry returned to Campbellsville, where he owned and operated the Sears Roebuck catalog store for 29 years. He was known for his warm personality, strong work ethic and commitment to his community.

Perry will be remembered as a devoted father, loving grandfather and cherished friend whose quiet strength and unwavering love will live on in those who knew him.

His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Leslie Frances Hogue Hoffmann and her husband, John, of Campbellsville; his sister, Ethel Mary Osborne and her husband, Paul, also of Campbellsville; and five beloved grandchildren: Jessica Frances Bland, Reili Farmer, Keeli Farmer, Nicholas Hoffmann and Henry Hoffmann.

He is also remembered by his nieces and nephews: Shannon Lynn Brown and her husband, Dennis of Columbia; Anna Laura Humphress and her husband, J. D. of Campbellsville; Marilynda Leigh Jacquez and her husband, Andy of Apache Junction, Arizona; Forrest J. Hogue, III and his mother, Joyce Hogue of Emory, Texas and many great-nieces and nephews.

Perry was preceded in death by his brother, Forrest J. Hogue, Jr.
