Raymond J. "Ray J." Skaggs

Raymond J. “Ray J.” Skaggs peacefully left this world on May 24, 2021. He was born in Bridgeport, Indiana, February 27, 1926 to the late James Franklin Skaggs and Lillian Whitlow Skaggs. He worked as a power house operator with American Standard after thirty-seven years of service and later worked various security positions when he moved from Louisville to Campbellsville, Kentucky. His greatest joy was sitting on his front porch and spending time on his land with his adopted cat. He leaves behind his daughter, Paula Skaggs Hawkins; step-daughter, Rosemary Pinson and husband, George; step-sons: Ted Borders, James Borders and wife, Janie and Timothy Borders; special neighbors, Paul and Opal Judd; several special nieces and nephews; step-grandkids and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cecil Skaggs; his brothers: Eugene Skaggs and Robert Skaggs; sisters: Flora Pritchard and Nadine Rafferty; step-daughter, Delores Pruitt; step-sons: Michael Borders and David Borders and a special friend, Mary Lee Kendall Pickett. The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the Bluegrass Way Assisted Living Angels, Hosparus Health Angels and the Angels at Taylor County Regional Hospital.
