Bobby Chewning

Bobby Chewning of Campbellsville, son of the late Griffin and Cecil Todd Chewning, was born August 21, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:58 A.M., Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 87 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. Bobby was employed at Fruit of the Loom as a maintenance technician. Bobby could fix anything and would take things apart just to see if he could put them back together again. He was very independent and wanted to do things himself with no help needed. He united in marriage to Peggy Mitchell October 19, 1973. Besides his wife, Peggy Chewning of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Terry Chewning and wife, Kathy, Melissa Gordon, Tanya Franklin and husband, Scott all of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Jacob Chewning and wife, Jess, Jordan Chewning and wife, Stephanie, Tiffany Tedder and husband, Austin all of Campbellsville; Trey Gordon of Nashville Tennessee, Haley Goodwin and husband, Cody and Tyler Franklin all of Bowling Green Kentucky. Eight great-grandchildren: Bentley Chewning, Graham Chewning, Myles Chewning, Nash Chewning, Briggs Chewning, Karlie Tedder, Kaeson Tedder and Krue Tedder; One sister Mary Jean Jeffries of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
