Daniel White

Daniel White of Campbellsville, son of the late John Henry White and Mary Lee Herron White, was born November 10, 1923 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:15 P.M., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 97 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church. Daniel founded White Oil Company in 1955 after starting his business career with a grocery store at the top of Elk Horn Hill, later moving it to Acton with a service station. He was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F & AM since 1945, serving the Masonic Fraternity for seventy-five years. Daniel also served on the Kentucky Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service State Committee from 1980-1990. He united in marriage to Mary Nell Cobb September 19, 1946. Besides his wife, Mary Nell White of Campbellsville, Daniel is survived by one son and two daughters: Ronnie White and wife, Connie, Phyllis Rhodes and husband, Bobby and Linda Smith and husband, Robert of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Nelda Eads and husband, Jamie, Chad White and wife, Shea, Todd White and wife, Jennifer and Wesley Bennett Smith of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Jace Eads, Jacob Eads, Anna Grace Eads, Collin White and Savannah White; one brother, David White and wife, Betty of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
