Gloria "Jean" Karr

Ms. Gloria “Jean” Karr of Campbellsville, passed away from this life on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born on May 24, 1932, in London, Kentucky to Lucy Cobb Moore and Charlie Moore of Lily, Kentucky. She was 89 years of old. Jean was a Christian woman of the Baptist faith. She was a retired teacher from Campbellsville Elementary. She loved Kentucky basketball, fishing, traveling, feeding, and watching her hummingbirds and red birds. She loved her children and grandchildren and never met a stranger. Her favorite show was Golden Girls and musician, Kenny Rogers. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, she has gone home to eternal peace and loved ones. She leaves behind two sons: Michael Karr and wife, Julie and Sammy Karr and Megan Doss of Indiana; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a close friend, Mary Carr of Frankfort; caretakers: Don Taylor, Sara Riley, and Lisa Mejean of Campbellsville and a host of other family members and friends.
