John Lee

John Lee of Elizabethtown, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Shelby Smith Lee and Barilla Gore Lee, was born November 14, 1942 in Christian County, Kentucky. He died at 12:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Glasgow. Age: 79 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow. John was a retired employee of GTE after twenty-nine years of service and a former employee of NAPA Auto Parts. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, and sharing the word of God. He united in marriage to Faith Sublett March 16, 1963. Besides his wife, Faith Lee of Campbellsville, John is survived by one son and one daughter: Mike Lee and wife, Becky of Glasgow and Terri McKinney and husband, Chris of DeWitt, Michigan; three grandchildren: Charity Barnes of Georgetown, Kate McKinney of Williamsburg, Virginia and Ryan McKinney of DeWitt, Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Barnes of Bowling Green; step-mother-in-law, Minnie Sublett of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his father, Shelby Smith Lee; his mother, Barilla Gore Lee; two brothers: Shelby Smith Lee, Jr. and Robert E.
