JUANITA NEWTON Juanita Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Sammie T. Benningfield and Rinnie L. Short Benningfield was born April 15, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:33 P.M., Friday, August 13, 2021 at her home. Age: 91 She professed faith in Christ and was a devoted member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was active in the Women’s Missionary Union for many years. She worked in the cafeteria for the Campbellsville School System where she enjoyed getting to work with the kids. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy and she was always their biggest supporter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She united in marriage to Lynwood Newton May 14, 1949. Besides her husband, Lynwood Newton of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters and two sons: Judy Dabney of Campbellsville, Deborah Wade and husband, Dee of Louisville, Jeff Newton and wife, Cathy of Campbellsville and Russ Newton and wife Krista of Buckner; eight grandchildren: Traver Dabney and wife, Kelli of Versailles, Tara Dabney of Chicago, Seth Wade of Louisville, Jenny Newton and husband, Eric, Ben Newton and wife, Sheere, Drew Newton and wife Megan, of Campbellsville, Grant Newton and Macy Newton of Buckner; fourteen great-grandchildren: Catherine Dabney, Olivia Dabney, Scarlet Dabney of Versailles, Parker Newton, Sarah Newton, Sophia Newton, Lilly Newton, Emma Newton, Myles Newton, Avery Newton, Bryce Newton and Riley Newton, Tate Newton and Luke Newton of Campbellsville; one sister and one brother: Shirley Coffey and Eldon Benningfield and wife, Judy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Terry M. Dabney,; five sisters and two brothers: Madlyn Parrott, Ruby Morris, Dewell Richerson, Majeal Hutchins, Jenny Underwood, Glenn Benningfield and Ralph Benningfield. VISITATION: 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
