Louese Phillips Russell

Louese Phillips Russell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lawrence William Phillips and Bertie Lee Eads Phillips, was born February 16, 1924 in Melvin, Illinois. She died at 6:39 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 96 Louese professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She loved her church and Sunday School class. Louese was a retired employee of the Taylor County PVA Office after many years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard and always gave her flowers special attention. She united in marriage to Fred Russell July 14, 1945. He preceded her in death November 5, 2008. Louese is survived by two daughters and one son: Donna Bright and husband, Robert of Elk Horn, Jerry Russell and wife, Pam and Sheri Turpin and husband, Joey of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Pam Bale and husband, Tracy, Jenny Ethrington and husband, Michael, Joanna Fields and husband, Landry and McCall Thacker and husband, Joseph; four step-grandchildren: Kent Bright, Jason Bright, Josh Mann and Caleb Mann; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert “Bobby” Phillips and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Louese was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Fletcher Phillips, Howard Phillips, Merlin Phillips, Sonny Phillips, Mattie Pickett, Vernetta Paccamonti and Norma Jean Phillips and a step-granddaughter, Bethany Mann. AS MANDATED BY THE GOVERNOR, SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE. BURIAL: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY REQUESTED TO BE DONATIONS TO HOSPARUS OF GREEN RIVER AND MAY BE MADE THROUGH PARROTT & RAMSEY FUNERAL HOME
