Margaret Phillips McDonald

Margaret Phillips McDonald of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Clarence Sheppard Phillips and Eliza Jane Woodrum Phillips, was born September 4, 1920 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:50 A.M., Monday, August 15, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 101 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Margaret was a homemaker and pastor’s wife, always cooking, offering hospitality and taking care of others in need. She united in marriage to Dr. L. Rodford McDonald May 30, 1942 and he preceded her in death March 19, 2005. Margaret is survived by several nieces and nephews: Nancy Phillips Reathaford and Marilyn Phillips Saline and Ronnie Phillips and wife, Jane of Galesburg, Illinois, Virginia Sue Stephens Bannon of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Allen Stephens and wife, Anne of Carmel, Indiana, Melissa Phillips Cooper and husband, Eric of Brownsburg, Indiana, Linda Wise Cunningham and husband, Doug of Lexington and Cindy Wise McIntire and husband, Terry of Houston, Texas and locally, by one great-niece and one great-nephew: Stacey Sapp Arnett and husband, Jerry and Dwight Sapp and wife, Kim of Campbellsville and several other great-nieces and great-nephews and many other relatives and friends. Margaret was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Wesley Phillips, Wallace Phillips, Sam E.
