Marilyn Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Lenuel “Pug” and Pearline Ford Smith, was born April 29, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:00 A.M., Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 74 She professed faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church where she was active with the Women on a Mission. Marilyn was a retired state employee, beginning work as a secretary for District Judges Ed Abell and Mike Hall, Sr and later, went to work for Circuit Judge Mike Hall, Sr. until his retirement. At that time, she began working as a deputy for the Circuit Clerk’s office. Marilyn loved and lived for her family. She was an avid fan and follower of her great-grandson, Channing’s football games. She also enjoyed going to Arts and Crafts Shows and Antique Shopping. She united in marriage to Noah Michael Smith August 14, 1964. Besides her husband, Mike Smith of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Eric Elder of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Channing Tungate and Rhylen Cochran and special friend Gail Cochran of Campbellsville, one brother and one sister: Lenuel Smith and wife Bonnie of Campbellsville and Carolyn Larimore and husband, Rhea of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tatem Ashley Smith and one brother, Kenneth Hartwell Smith. ________________ VISITATION: 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
